Cluster Vision Statement

 To All parishioners of St. Mary, St. Peter of Alcantara and Immaculate Conception:

Below a draft vision statement that the CAPS committee and Parish Councils have been working on for several months. We have been working as a cluster for a number of years. Our parishes wish to continue this cooperation and collaboration—with the goal of becoming a thriving Catholic community in Port Washington and Saukville.

The Archdiocese has given us a process to use so that we can be more intentional in attaining our vision. The development of our Vision Statement is one of the pieces of the process. The Vision Statement is a short term (3 years) document that will help us to identify our priorities and devise a ministry plan that is very specific, realistic, and measurable.

Cluster Vision Statement

The parishes of Immaculate Conception, St. Mary and St. Peter of Alcantara will become a thriving Catholic Community, faithfully serving the needs of others throughout Port Washington and Saukville. We celebrate the presence of God in our midst and embrace the Archbishop’s call to strengthen our parishes by deepening our cluster relationship.

We will achieve our vision by:

Growing the Cluster

We will continue to work as a cluster and explore opportunities to further the mission of the Church in Saukville and Port Washington, while preserving our individual parishes.

Optimizing Human Resources

We will continue to evaluate and develop staffing and programming as a cluster. We will continue to engage in collaborative parish council and committee efforts.

Evaluating Buildings and Grounds

We will examine how our facilities are used and the costs and benefits of maintaining them in order to develop a long term cluster plan.

Strengthening our Catholic Community

We will develop specific strategies to strengthen our current ministries and explore new ministries in order to grow the Catholic community.

Clarifying our relationship with Port Catholic School

We will clarify the relationship of the cluster parishes with Port Catholic School.
